Brent Harris, owner and designer of Brentley Softpacks, begins business by selling his products at street fairs in and around Bellingham, Washington. The company's focus is on developing packs for those who enjoy the great outdoors. Brentley Softpacks packs are used for climbing expeditions around the world.
1984
Company opens first retail store in Bellingham, Washington.
1990
Brenthaven cases are top shelf offering in many premium luggage retailers across the United States and in Japan.
1994
Brentley Softpacks is renamed Brenthaven and focus shifts from outdoor packs to notebook carrying cases. Brentley Softpacks line of packs and other products is still sold today in Brenthaven company store in Bellingham.
2000
Brenthaven partners with Apple to create a high quality line of cases for Apple notebooks. Brenthaven is the first line of laptop bags in the first Apple retail store.
2001
Brenthaven enters the corporate market and becomes the laptop case standard for many Fortune 1000 companies.
2003
Brenthaven expands to Europe and is again the first laptop bag in the first Apple UK retail store.
2008
