Kona Project 2 Backpack- Black  

I started commuting to work and needed to pick up a waterproof bag as my old North Face wouldn't keep out the rain. I had first picked up a Chrome Soyuz off a cycling deal site, but the next day came across the Project 2 Bike Bag on another deal site. After doing a little comparison shopping, I realized I had made a horrible mistake with the Chrome bike bag. First, it wasnt completely H2O-proof. Second, it had a funky opening that made it tricky to get stuff in and out. Lastly, no integrated light (not a big deal, but heh, it's cool). So I ordered the P2 and initiated a return on the Chrome bag before it even arrived. When I got the P2, I was blown away by the storage space - first day I used it a trucked in a couple dress shirts, an overcoat, a laptop, some notebooks, etc. The expanding compartment gave me plenty of room. On the way home, I zipped it back down and had a nice low profile bag. Over the course of that week, I repeated, loading up the cavernous bag with suits, shirts, shoes, etc. At night, I zipped the bag down and zipped home. Two of those days in a nasty mix of snow, sleet, rain, and wind. Everything, in particular the laptop, stayed dry. And don't forget the handy phone pocket on the front strap - start up your trip app of choice and stick it in the pocket. All told, after looking for months and almost going with a more heavily marketed bag, I found the P2 backpack by chance and am extremely pleased with my purchase. When you consider the price I paid, I couldn't be happier.

An absolutely incredible blend of engineering, protection, and comfort. This is my second Brenthaven laptop case; my first lasted me 8 or 9 years and was still operable when I retired it for the Kona. No overload on little compartments that just make you end up spreading your tiny toys in even more scattered places, no awkward strap-fitting when your bag is jammed, and you can walk into walls to your heart's content and not drop a sweat about busting up that $3K MBP.
