Expandable Trek Backpack - Blue  

We had a 13" MacBook Air catch fire inside one of the Brenthaven Trek bags after the battery had been damaged. I think the bag is what kept the student from being injured.

I needed a dual purpose carry on that could go from overhead to in the field and the Expandable Trek Back Pack fit the bill! It has been a mainstay for bringing everything I need as a producer/ director working in the field on various television productions. From DSLR's, portable hard drives, adaptors, iPod and sunglasses... this has a place for everything and everything in its place. It has been with me to the far reaches of Ellesmere Island in the Arctic and from coast to coast in every situation imaginable. From motorcycle to snow sled, and from air to sea my 'portable office' has always provided outstanding protection for my Mac book and all the other 'stuff' we all need. I would give it a 10 out of 10. 4 years old and still works like a charm... in fact I think it's just getting broke in.

This is a really nice bookbag. I use it for college and it's been really durable and has kept my precious macbook very safe! This is a good buy!

I have had this backpack MacBook case for 2 years now. Overall I am very happy with it and will use it for many more years. It has been durable and held up very well. I am a graphic art student who also works as a 3D design artist outside of school. Because of this my office is actually in my MacBook case, my computer just comes out to different work stations at home, work, or school. It more than adequately holds my computer safely, as well as numerous large texts books and notebooks in the largest compartment alone. The additional large compartment holds medium to small books as well as my wireless keyboard. Holds small things well and also has places for mouse, pens, cables, ect. Keeps me very organized.

The Brenthaven Expandable Trek MacBook case was a perfect selection on my part to use when I went on vacation. It's extremely sturdy, durable and very expandable to hold all my accessories and cables that I need to have with me. I highly recommend this MacBook case to all.

I did a lot of research on looking for a bag for my 15" Dell Laptop. This bag is great and has exceeded all my expectations. A 15" laptop will fit snuggly but it fits okay. The padding, zippers and material is high quality. I travel internationally on business and this is the perfect bag for that. I like also the feature of the front clasp that you can connect to keep the shoulder straps more forward while you are walking with it. It is a great bag.

This backpack MacBook case is perfect for anyone who is especially concerned with the safety of their laptop. I especially recommend it for students or anyone who also needs to carry around books, electronics, and whatever you like to have with you at all times. This is a most sturdy and versatile backpack for your MacBook. It has plenty of protection to sustain shock from all sides. The video that Amazon has from Brenthaven has to be one of the most convincing and funny videos that I've seen. Granted, it's more of a personal update from the old Samsonite commercials, but this is funny and scary because most notebook owners want to protect their computer. How scary can it get than by having someone with the daring to literally drop the backpack with the laptop inside and guarantee that it's ok? OK that's the sale/pitch, but when you see the backpack with it's cushions and pocket capacity there's some proof. Would I drop deliberately drop my backpack? No! But if I have such an accident, the sturdiness of the backpack gives me a lot of assurance as opposed to others that I've observed. Should you want even more security you might want to get a Brenthaven MacBook sleeve, they too, are sturdy and better than most out there... Brenthaven backpack PLUS the MacBook sleeve. That's SUPER. Sure it's overprotective, but you made an investment for your laptop, so invest in a backpack/MacBook case that really protects it.

For years I have been looking for a replacement of my old almost ideal backpack that I used to carry things to and from work. I need multiple pockets and above all storage placed halfway the backpack (so that you don't end with everything on the bottom and thus a bulky backpack). I just bought a new backpack that was 75% ok the day before I went to Europe, but decided to start using it upon return. Then, while in Europe, I saw this Brenthaven backpack MacBook case by pure coincidence. It was absolutely perfect! I brought back the backpack I just had bought and ordered the Brenthaven online through Amazon. Have had it now for over a month and recommend it without any hesitation.

I have owned this backpack MacBook case for over two years now (got it when it first came out) and it is everything listed and more. I work in the IT industry and carry my laptop back and forth to work every day. The expandable pocket is great to hold stuff for a weekend or overnight trip and all the extra pockets fit the bill. I don't know how I would feel about the front flap folding down (mine lifts up) but it probably makes a better use of the space. If you have any doubts read some of the testimonials to hear some of the stories. These MacBook cases have survived accidents, falls, and numerous other things and yet both the bag and the contents survive. I am buying one for my Mom for her birthday because anyone who needs to carry their laptop daily (she teaches and travels) must have one. This item gets a 12 out of 10 rating from me!

This is absolutely the best MacBook case I have ever used. I work for a large medical device company evaluating MacBook cases for our company and have tried almost all of the major brands of backpacks, and this is the best by far for everyday use. It will handle an additional projector or laptop with ease. Plenty of room for files and the assorted "junk" that always accumulates in your MacBook case. But there is a pocket or pouch for everything to keep it organized.
