5. 15. 2013 -When you think about it the most important area of your iPhone 5, when it comes to protection, is probably the phone’s corners. In the event of a catastrophic drop the likelihood of your phone landing on a corner is high. Brenthaven Trek Folio for iPad Mini Review
3. 23. 2013 - I’ve used the Brenthaven Trek Folio on my iPad mini for a few weeks now. It has replaced the KHOMO Super Slim folio iPad Mini case as my favorite, because its surface texture makes it easier to get a good grip on the case. It’s attractive and sturdy without adding too much bulk, and I like that I can fold the front completely flat so that I don’t need two hands to hold the iPad Mini. As I said earlier, I’d prefer it without the stand functions, but that’s certainly not a deal breaker for me. I love the appearance, the textured exterior, and the fit of the Trek Folio. It has become my go-to case for my mini. It’s a winner!

2. 16. 2013 -The BX2 foam is in the corners of the case where it grasps your iPhone. At first I was a little skeptical about something quite this minimal, but then realized that if you drop your phone, chances are it will land on the corner – this is why screens break, and not because they fell flat face down. Even though the sides are wide open, the corners will still “connect” with a surface first. And this is where the BX2 enters into the picture to protect your phone. Brenthaven has a nice little video showing how it works, which you can see here. BX2 is also used to cushion the back of your phone. It’s soft, and can in no way scratch the back of your phone. You can press against it with your nail or the tip of your finger to get a good feeling for the density of the foam. The EXO is ready to absorb impact.

Brenthaven Collins Tech Pack for iPad
2. 13. 2013 -Brenthaven has stepped up its game, recently debuting some of the nicest accessories we've seen from the company in quite some time. Among them is the Collins Tech Pack for iPad ($50), a really handsome vertical messenger bag that holds any generation of Apple's tablet. Slim and simple, it's a nice choice for someone who wants to carry his or her iPad around as a main computer, without the burden of a larger bag. We’re excited to see such a nice bag out of Brenthaven: for the $50 asking price, Collins Tech Pack is a great solution if the iPad is the center of your world, and you want to carry it around with a handful of other accessories or personal items. It’s not going to carry your entire life on your shoulder, nor is it made or priced to do so. We highly recommend it, and look forward to seeing what will follow it in the near future.

Brenthaven BX2 Protector Case for iPhone 5
2. 13. 2013 -BX2 Protector Case’s biggest differentiating feature is the stand. Anchored in the center of the foam circle, the bottom curls out when you press in right around the center; the concept is comparable to that of slap bracelets. You do have to press in just the right place to make it pop out, but you’ll very quickly get used to it. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen such stand technology in a case, but it’s implemented well, allowing your iPhone to be propped up in portrait or landscape orientation. We found it fun to play with, too; fidgeters will either love or hate it for that reason.

2. 8. 2013 - Even though it’s called a sleeve, we’d describe Brenthaven’s Collins Sleeve Plus ($60) as a small bag, optimal for carrying around your MacBook, iPad, and a few other small accessories. The heather gray exterior is nice enough that it could be used in a semi-professional setting, but casual enough that you won’t feel out of place carrying it around elsewhere. It’s slim, too: only 16 inches wide, 12.5 tall, and two inches deep. Under Collins Sleeve Plus’ top flap, you’ll find a padded pocket for your 11”, 13”, or 15” MacBook Air or Pro, plus another in front of it for an iPad. There’s a third pocket for accessories in front of the other two. The nylon shoulder strap is permanently attached, meaning you can’t use the sleeve as just a sleeve, but we’re okay with that: the strap is the sort of “plus” that justifies this case’s name.

2. 7. 2013 - On a recent trip to media trip to The Doubletree Hilton and CoCo Key Water Park (one that happened to fall right before three deadlines), we were filled to the brim with two iPhones, one iPad, one MacBook, two Kindles and, of course, a charger pad. Somehow, beyond all reason, they all fit into the Collins Convertible backpack by Brenthaven. I know. Show me your shocked face. I will then show you mine. It’s true. This one bag made it possible for us to keep all these ($$$) items together in one safe place. And it’s not even all that big. We made this our media bag because it boasts a high-density foam protection system with padded laptop and tablet pockets. We put my laptop in the main compartment, the iPad in the secondary pocket and the two Kindles and the charger pad in the main section. Our iPhones each had their own side pocket with Velcro. Pens, notepads and smaller items had their own little areas, and the handy zipper pocket in the front was great for easy-to-grab items (think boarding passes, papers, wallets, etc.).

Great Customer Service From Brenthaven
1. 04. 2013 - Here’s a little tale of great customer service. When an email arrived from Brenthaven announcing their new case designed for the iPhone 5, I was hooked. But there was a problem. The case itself cost $39.95, and on top of that shipping to Hawaii was only via 2-day express for something like $30. The combined cost was an effective deterrent. Then the case went on a 50%-off sale, but the high shipping charge remained. I sent a plaintive email to customer support asking of there were any way to have it mailed to Hawaii via USPS, not really expecting a substantive reply. But in very short order, Brenthaven responded. Jillian, a sales specialist, offered a workaround. She advised me to place the order, but have it shipped to their address in Seattle, then email her the order number. She flagged it when it arrived in Seattle from their warehouse, and reshipped it to Honolulu for a modest price. Although I was a bit nervous about the two-step process, it went very smoothly and the case arrived quickly.

11. 5. 2012 - It’s long overdue but it’s time for the final review of the Kona Project 2 Messenger Bag! The folks at Brenthaven and Kona teamed up and created the Kona Project 2 Messenger Bag and were nice enough to send us one to test! I wrote my first impressions of the bag awhile back and gave an opinion of it. After some time, my impression has stayed pretty much the same—I like it. The first thing I noticed about it is how stylish the bag is. The bag is compact, but there are just enough pockets for one's A/C adaptor, a few business cards and the other necessities I mentioned above, while the back slip pocket accommodates an iPad and other documents. 10. 01. 2012 - What makes this bag my favorite are two things: 1) The excellent foam padding to keep my camera secure and 2) The fact that I can carry a full sized DSLR with battery grip and long lens. Let’s start with the padding. Brenthaven calls their special padding BX2. It lines the bottom of the bag and is not your average camera bag foam. Think instead of a memory foam pillow or bed. It’s spongy to a point which helps absorb shock. Not only is the bottom extremely well padded, all the sides and lid have some type of padding (the more traditional foam, it seems). And it is thicker than an average bag, helping me feel secure in beating this bag around as I do when traveling.

I carried a DSLR with an 18-55mm lens on the camera body and two additional lenses, plus a 70-200mm telephoto and a 35mm, and had plenty of room to spare. In addition, a side zipper opened into a compartment for an iPad or 15″ laptop computer.

We've never had a higher workload, I've been traveling between Maryland and Pennsylvania by car, biking through Silver Spring, MD in 90 degree temperatures, and as a perk - I've been caught in the rain almost every night. I'm not really complaining. Being busy is often a good thing, and it has been made significantly easier since upgrading to Brenthaven's Kona Project 2 Messenger Bag. 8.27.2012 -First Impression. I like it. After using it for a couple of weeks, I’ve found the bag to be quite useful. Regarding it’s look, it’s stylish–the main zipper streamlines a clean-looking design. The Kona logo is visible along with the 2 buckle-harnesses that keep the contents of the bag secure. Upon opening, three separate compartments are visible. One being a “divider” where it has a velcro flap to secure the contents from the rest of the bag. The inside of the first compartment has more pockets and zippers similar to an inside of a backpack to put in smaller items.

Brenthaven PacificTM Backpack for MacBook Review
8.9.2012 - Of all the backpacks I’ve looked at, this one may be the one that shouts “student” the loudest. Maybe its the cloth zipper pulls, but its probably the big, open, nylon-string-secured front pocket that looks like it just wants to embrace a cheerleader’s sweater so that the backpack’s owner can gallantly retrieve it when a cool breeze kicks in. Like most of the others, the Pacific holds up to a 15.5 inch notebook computer (my older 15.6-inch MacBook Pro fits by extends past the padding, which isn’t good). The interior is light grey with orange accents. A nice contrast to the grey-and-black exterior.

7.12.2012 - Honestly, I really love the design of the Brenthaven Slimpack. I was very impressed when I first saw it. The looks and feel of it everything was just on point. I have been looking for a great business backpack so that I can haul around my laptop, and after finding the Brenthaven Slimpack I think I may have found the best one by far. Some of the awesome features of the Brenthaven Slimpack is that it has a High Density Foam Protection System keeping your devices safe and protected from harm. It has a durable water resistant external shell. An easy access zip-down organization panel with a few stash pockets for phone and other items. Last but not least it comes with a stowable rainfly keeping your bag dry on those rainy days! All around Brenthaven did a excellent job with the design of the Slimpack!

Kona Project 2 Messenger Bag Review
7.8.2012 - Looking at the front face of the Kona bag you can tell right away what your going to get. If your not already familiar with Kona they make amazing bicycles and accessories for all of your cycling needs no matter what it may be. 7.5.2012 - Ok, we admit it. Even when our lives depend upon our laptops, tablets and other computers, we sometimes—not often mind you—but have on occasion have accidently dropped them. 6.26.2012 - With the new MacBook Pro launching, a couple of my bags were made obsolete. Additionally, since this laptop is about 50% heavier than my MacBook Air, I decided to go with a backpack. The issue is that I still wanted the slimness offered in a messenger bag and that’s why I’m glad I found the Brenthaven ProStyle SlimPack.

1.17.2012 - I have been using this case for several days and plan on using it for the foreseeable future. The port cutouts provide ample room for cables and inputs and plenty of room for sound to escape – and the hardcover back (cov ered seamlessly by the same fabric) feels secure even though it is easy to insert and remove the iPad 2 from the case. I prefer to have my accessories with me anytime I am away from home. Brenthaven is by far one of my favorite companies when it comes to sleeves, and carrying cases. Their products are very simple, elegant, and well-built. I have for review the Brenthaven ProStyle Satchel, which a carrying case for the iPad, or any tablet up to 10 inches.
