I’ve been racking my brains over which computer bag would be the best for me. I travel, make presentations, have an expensive new computer as well as the associated gadgetry. Among the bags I seriously considered are Booq- one of the most pricey but definitely the MOST stylish & well built, Brenthaven, of which all the reviews I’ve read are excellent, BBP- a smaller company with some compelling products, as well as many others. In the end I chose Brenthaven. It’s well designed, well crafted- though I would have made all the zippers the same, as 2 are not the tough type. It’s VERY well padded, and professional in appearance. Has a pocket dedicated to separated documents- a nice touch. There’s a pass through for rolling bags so it can sit on top of the bag, leaving the other hand free. It has a padded iPod pocket built in. One of the most important things is that it comes with a lifetime guarantee. To me, this means that the company makes a lifelong commitment to every buyer and that’s priceless.
I believe in the product; not from reviews and/or testimonials, but from owning many bags, and seeing where this bag improves performance, where others simply didn’t.

I have been a lover of Brenthaven bags for a long time. They are expensive compared to the competition, but their stitch, zipper, and materials quality makes that worthwhile.I have carried my last 3 laptops in Brenthaven bags and love them. I gave my first bag to my dad who has been useing it for 4 laptops now and it still looks new. My newest bag was purchased because I did not need the big bag from my Thinkpad for my new MacBook Pro… otherwise the old bag would still be in service.This bag is awesome and serves my MacBook Pro very well. Great storage and enough extra storage fo the stuff you “need” to carry with a laptop. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been a long time Tumi customer but when it came time to buy a new bag for my Macbook Pro I decided to try a lower cost option. After using the Brenthaven bag for several weeks I can highly recommend this bag over Tumi. Excellent value, quality and design

I have been using a Brenthaven case for a 13" Macbook and am upgrading to a 17" Macbook Pro so will need a new bag. After using my current Brenthaven, of the same style, for 3 years, I can tell you that it is a bargain and a 10/10. I travel one to two times each month by air and this case has taken a beating, but still looks brand new. Incredible durability. It has more pockets and dividers and predesigned slots for this and that than I can figure out what to do with. Truly, when I first got the bag I was a bit overwhelmed by all the compartmentalization, not being a seasoned traveler three years ago. Now that I am a seasoned traveler, I have found a use for almost all of them. Clearly, very experienced travelers were consulted when they designed this case. It is a bit heavy, but durable and light do not go together and I travel for two weeks so have to pack a lot of stuff! So most of the weight is from my stuff and not the bag. Also, fits nicely under even commuter airline seats, at least the bag for the 13" Macbook does, but I suspect the17" one will, too. My only regret is that it does not have wheels, but it does have a strap which slides nicely over the extended handle of my luggage with wheels so really not an issue and would make it bulkier and heavier so forget the wheels thing. This bag is must for the business traveler, graduate student, teacher, lawyer, doctor and although the style is not what most college students would probably choose, it would be welcomed by some of them depending on their personal preferences and if they want more of a back pack style bag, for example. Really, regardless of what you do, your laptop needs a bag for it and all the peripheral devices, cords, cables, chargers, etc., that go with it so as to neatly keep everything in one place and ready for immediate departure! I was about to give a money back guarantee, but remembered that I do not work for Brenthaven, I'm just a customer! LOL...Enjoy!

I absolutely love this notebook bag!!! I got it right before my last 2 week business trip, and I had to take lots of accessories for my laptop, plus some software CD's, the normal paperwork, and a book for the plane. It swallowed it all up with no problem. I have a 15.4 inch Dell Vostro, which is not the slimmest laptop around, and it also has the extended battery, so it is a little deeper than most as well, and that's why I got the bag designed for 17 inch laptops... My notebook fit like a glove. The solid, durable construction of this bag is very impressive, and the number of pockets, compartments, holders, etc. is astounding. The two handles are very comfortable, and so is the shoulder strap, which can be removed if you want.

This case is the reason why you will gladly pay more for quality, and why I will never regret this purchase. I've used bargain priced, hand-me-down cases and shoulder bags in the past and have never been happy with the results. If you want a quality bag that will withstand the bumps and scrapes throughout the years, a bag with more pockets and common-sense features than you can imagine, and a bag that says I am "100% business" and not another "West coast fly-by-night dotcom wannabe" this is the one for you.

If you are not accustomed to lugging around a big bag (I am 6'4" and this bag fits my stature) this may not work for you. I won't lie to you - If you are not strong enough to carry a 17" Apple laptop around, then this bag won't make it any easier. If you fly, or if you are serious about protecting your assets, buy this bag. It's tough, and it's worth it.
